The Epic Matt Blog. Wednesday, November 12, 2008. To make some things easier from an organizational standpoint, I'm moving my blog. I created this blog when I still used hotmail, so I log in using my hotmail sign on. Since then I've changed to gmail for my email and use that to post comments on other people's blogs. So it's a little annoying using hotmail to get into my own blog, but gmail for my email and posting on people's blogs. Http:/ overcookedsushi.blogspot.com/. Posted by R Matthew Ware. Speak in...

Overcooked Sushi: May 2007

http://www.rmatthewware.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html

The Epic Matt Blog. Wednesday, May 23, 2007. A Possum in Kentucky. We spent the day in downtown Louisville today. We ate lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe and went on a tour of the Louisville Slugger factory. Very cool. I'll try to post pictures eventually, but that might not be until I get home next week. Posted by R Matthew Ware. Links to this post. A Possum in Kentucky. Posted by R Matthew Ware. Links to this post. Monday, May 21, 2007. Is it because I like the guy? Is it because I agree with his politics?

Overcooked Sushi: August 2007

http://www.rmatthewware.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html

The Epic Matt Blog. Sunday, August 26, 2007. One of those self-indulgent posts. So, I'm sitting here at work, eight hours into my twelve and a half hour shift, thinking about soda. This is what I'm drinking now:. This is what I wish I were drinking:. That's right, I wish I was drinking what looks like 5 12-packs, 47 12-ounce cans, and 6 20-ounce bottles of surge. ALL AT ONE TIME! What does this have to do with science fiction and/or fantasy? Yes, it's 2:30 in the morning and I'm tired. Back to Surge.

Overcooked Sushi: August 2008

http://www.rmatthewware.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

The Epic Matt Blog. Sunday, August 31, 2008. Hurricane Gustav is getting ready to slam New Orleans. I still say they should let lower New Orleans become a swamp and rebuild upriver. It would be a better use of money. In other Gustav news, the GOP convention is getting delayed a little bit because of the hurricane. Does this mean that God hates Republicans? Or is he giving McCain a chance to shine. Or, in the words of a piece of flair I saw, is he not Republican or Democrat? Probably the last option.

Overcooked Sushi: June 2007

http://www.rmatthewware.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html

The Epic Matt Blog. Wednesday, June 27, 2007. The Future of Print. So, sometimes I think of the future and how things will work. Sometimes my imagination isn't so good, but I give it a try anyway. I read a blog entry about the future of print at The Rejecter's site:. Http:/ rejecter.blogspot.com/. The Exaggerated Reporting of Print's Death. In it The Rejecter quotes Stan Lee saying there's something about holding something in your hand and that's why comic books will never die. Behold, the iPhone. So, I'...

Overcooked Sushi: December 2007

http://www.rmatthewware.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

The Epic Matt Blog. Friday, December 28, 2007. Movie Review: National Treasure Book of Secrets. My wife and I went to see the recent Nicolas Cage sequel a couple days ago. If you haven't seen it yet, and you liked the first one, then I would definitely. Now, I'm not trying to hold the movies up to a high standard. I mean, they're little more than DaVinci Code light. You get all the conspiracy without the religious controversy. Of course its all made up, but still. Posted by R Matthew Ware. The novel depi...

Suzzy: Oh, The Places I'll Go. 14 February, 2010. Remember the past only as it makes you smile. Its been a very long time since I've posted last, I'd like to blame uni work, but I've finished. I could blame my internship, but that's been over for a while as well. No, I just have the best intentions to write, but never get around to doing it. It seems that my time in the UK has come to an end (for the present) I'm going to be heading back stateside in about a week's time and guess what. I love this city, ...

Kentucky Woman: Thin in 2010!

http://raymondsue.blogspot.com/2010/01/thin-in-2010.html

Saturday, January 9, 2010. I didn't coin the phrase, but it' cool! Hope everyone had a nice Christmas and that 2010 is getting off to a good start for you. I guess most of us are struggling to stay warm. I spent Christmas with sister Anne, family, and my Dad in Lexington. Had a quiet New Year. I requested and it was approved for me to go 80% time, so most of the time I will be taking Fridays off - first one was last week. Still looking for [the next] "Mr. Right". Suzzy: Oh, The Places I'll Go. 04 January, 2014. For a place called Cannon Beach, there was a distinct lack of explosives. Once Upon a Time. Once upon a time, I lived in Portland and we went to the beach. It was a lovely beach, and we got to spend some time walking up and down the shore and dipping our toes in the freezing water. After being trapped in the hotel for a few hours we were able to see the sunset. It was definitely worth it. Starfishes are fascinating creatures. The ocean was cold. Picture Wi...

Suzzy: Oh, The Places I'll Go. 28 May, 2009. Blogging is more fun than writing essays, obviously I've been having NO fun here. I know, I know. I'm the world's largest slacker/loser. I have been doing a lot to be keeping busy, but mostly school work (and traveling just a little) So I have to catch everyone up from February eh? Best of all, I totally did it! I had to read a lot some days, but there was a 1 day grace period built in, so that worked well what with traveling. We got to see the Grand Palace, a...

Suzzy: Oh, The Places I'll Go. 11 November, 2008. A Weekend in Paris. We had a few hours to mess around, we went to Notre Dame first, and it was so gorgeous! I can't believe the intricacies of the glass windows and the ceilings (yay for flying buttresses) We spent some time sitting in the cathedral and just listened to the music and enjoyed the beauty. When we were done there was still time to spare and of course the second thing we did was to find somewhere to eat! Raspberry and rose creme. We waited fo...

Episode 9: The Better Angels of our Nature. Friday, Apr 9 2010. Where did the phrase reconstruction come from? The phase Reconstruction was what Abraham Lincoln used to try to bring the North and South together and restore the nation. This was created after Lincoln knew the war was coming to the end and the Union would come out on top. He wanted to get the nation back to its original state without slavery. 2 What were the purposes of the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments? 5 Why do we commemorate wars?
