Dairy Farm Days: March 2014
http://lifeasadairyfarmerswife.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
A country girl's life as a dairy farmer's wife. Saturday, March 15, 2014. Jill - A Farmer's Wife. Saturday, March 8, 2014. But somehow none of it seemed to spark my interest. Still struggling with what to write so I'm letting my fingers go tippy tapping across the keyboard and we'll see what comes of it. Better luck next time? I can only hope. Jill - A Farmer's Wife. Dairy Farm Days: February 2014
http://lifeasadairyfarmerswife.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
A country girl's life as a dairy farmer's wife. Saturday, February 1, 2014. I have bubbles in my belly. Or at least that's what it feels like a few times a day now. And I have to smile whenever I feel that fizzy, feathery sensation. No it's not because we had beans for supper last night. It's because I'm feeling my baby move. Yes, you read that right. As for my due date, V was a Winter baby. A was an Autumn baby. So it stands to reason that I'll follow my pattern and have a Summer baby, right?

Dairy Farm Days: February 2015
http://lifeasadairyfarmerswife.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
A country girl's life as a dairy farmer's wife. Thursday, February 19, 2015. SLOW time of year. It's that season. Slow. Everything is slower. The cold makes the days stretch on (well except when you get your appointment card from the accountant and your appointment day was set 2 weeks earlier than it normal and instead of a month to prep for tax time, you have 10 days. Then time seems to FLY! And if there's little sun that day too? Simple. We slow down. House projects get done (or at least furthe...Check...

Dairy Farm Days: January 2015
http://lifeasadairyfarmerswife.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
A country girl's life as a dairy farmer's wife. Friday, January 30, 2015. Driving V.E.R.Y. cautiously to the barn last night (and equally slowly. Home) should have been a big hint. Slip sliding out to the van this morning should have clued me in even more. The fact that the traction control kicked in as soon as I put the van in reverse should have decided it. So I braved the ice rink that leads from the road to my house and off I went. And off I went indeed. Or nearly so. To try it purposefully. But ther...

Dairy Farm Days: March 2015
http://lifeasadairyfarmerswife.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
A country girl's life as a dairy farmer's wife. Thursday, March 19, 2015. What do you call this season? We're not 'technically' into Spring yet according to the calendar but when the temps are consistently above 40, the snow is disappearing daily, and the kids start playing outside without jackets, then it's certainly not Winter anymore. Right? What do you call this season? Yes, what do you call this season? Or should we just forget the mish-mash name and simply call this in-between season Mud? Check out...

Dairy Farm Days: Egg-scellent Experiment
http://lifeasadairyfarmerswife.blogspot.com/2015/07/egg-scellent-experiment.html
A country girl's life as a dairy farmer's wife. Monday, July 27, 2015. For quite a while now, I've been wanting to add to my puny 3-hens-1-rooster sized flock and about a month ago, I thought my wish had come true when one said hens went broody. Broody hens are amazing for farm wives who want more chickens on the cheap (or is it 'cheep'? I just hope that they aren't all roosters. Jill - A Farmer's Wife. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dairy Farm Days: October 2014
http://lifeasadairyfarmerswife.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
A country girl's life as a dairy farmer's wife. Friday, October 24, 2014. Not The End as in the end of this blog or the end of a book or the end of an era. And I'm filled with the rewarding feeling of another job completed. Until the next milking anyway. Jill - A Farmer's Wife. Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Jill - A Farmer's Wife. Tuesday, October 21, 2014. So if I'm not writing about farm life, what does a farm wife/mom write about on a blog titled Dairy Farm Days? Do I shut it down? Until I took a recen...

Dairy Farm Days: November 2014
http://lifeasadairyfarmerswife.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
A country girl's life as a dairy farmer's wife. Friday, November 21, 2014. Slosh' goes the milk into the bucket. Ooof' goes the chore hand as she hefts 8 gallons of milk. Thunk' goes the door as it's opened. Brrr' goes the chore hand as she walks toward the barn through the chilly morning air. Go the hungry hungry calves as they see their breakfast arriving. Vrrrrmmmmm' goes the skidsteer as another bale is unrolled for those hungry babies equally hungry mommas. What goes PEEP in the middle of winter?
