Wednesday, May 22, 2013. AP of the Year. The second time we went out was in April, and it was beautiful. The cherry blossoms were out and temperatures were perfect. We spend a whole day visiting with senators and congressmen. We were treated like royalty. We attended a black tie gala. It was fun to get all dressed up to go out. I am very proud of Royd. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. I ran the July 24th Enterprise Fun Run 10K! Last year I ran the 5K, and didn't think I could do it. This year I stepped it up and ran 6.2 miles. My time was 1:06, which was good enough to be the winner of the losers. Next year I move up an age bracket. Watch out old ladies, here I come! I think my next step will be a half marathon. Reese's Trip to Idaho. The only part of his trip he didn't like was leaving. When the kids (Dace) are older we are totally going to hike the narrows.

Thursday, December 27, 2012. For future memories I thought it would be fun to recap what the kids got for Christmas. I wish I had a list from past Christmas memories. Taya: pink chair, earrings, skinny jeans, boots. Dace: Legos, hermitt crabs, coloring book, snow boots, BYU hat. Quade: wallet, money, jeans, sweater, headphones. Reese: a one egg frying pan, jacket, Madden 13 video game, shoes (Reese also got a Gerber knife from grandma). Dad: work boots, salami, Baracuta knife, gun case. People I Just Love.

Sunday, August 19, 2012. The second day of school I found Dace on the couch in tears (giant alligator tears). I asked him what was wrong. I was worried that he did not like his first day of school. This was his reply. You will have to imagine the drama in his voice. DACE: I am never going to be legal to sit in the front seat. I am not even four feet tall.
