Take-back event gathers unwanted prescriptions. September 28, 2014. Publication date: Sunday, September 28, 2014. The US. Drug Enforcement Administration, with lots of help from local sponsors, held the ninth National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday. People were able to dispose of expired or unwanted prescriptions at numerous locations, including pharmacies and local law enforcement offices. The drugs were collected with no questions asked and sealed in boxes for shipment to disposal sites.

Police help wait tables to raise awareness for Special Olympics. October 19, 2014. Publication date: October 19, 2014. Members of the Omaha Police Department worked the lunch and dinner shifts Saturday at two Red Robin restaurants, collecting tips for Special Olympics Nebraska. Tip-a-Cop, an annual event nationwide, has happened locally for the past few years. Officers also were working at the restaurant at 180th Street and West Center Road. We believe it’s one of the best charities out there, Wells said.
