Shetland has quite a few sheltered gardens which act as migrant-magnets, like this one on Bressay where we saw the Cuckoo. Other highlights of our time on Shetland included good views of Otter, early (or breeding? Common Redpoll, a white-tailed Starling, Red-necked Phalaropes with chicks, and amongst the more numerous Large Whites and Red Amirals a single Painted Lady. Now back to the RBA….
