Luckily a quick shake of hands and some directions and we found ourselves at the bottom of the Pyg track with the gentle waft of chemical toilets in the air. After a speedy drive from Nevis to Scafell (with a slight detour, due to Sat Nav) we arrive at Scafell Pike to be met by our own media team, Nigel and Bal. For a minute we revel in the minor celebrity status we seem to have assumed but it is quickly back to the focus of climbing our second of 5 peaks. Now for some sleep and the drive south to Snowdon.
