The Morris Family: Mother's Day Out update!
http://morrisfamily22.blogspot.com/2012/09/mothers-day-out-update.html
Thursday, September 13, 2012. Mother's Day Out update! After Ellie's third day of Mother's Day Out, I am feeling much better about the whole situation! She seems to have settled down into an almost normal routine! We are no longer stressing out over the MDO backlash. She still cries at naptime and bedtime, BUT it's usually for less than a minute! Which is a HUGE improvement! She is still clingy, but she no longer screams "Mommy" in a panicky voice every time I am out of eyesight. I know this is only the ...

The Morris Family: October 2012
http://morrisfamily22.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 20, 2012. A simple day worth remembering. Andrew and I were so excited to take Ellie to the State of Fair of Texas this year! His schedule had two days off during the week, the perfect time to go! We planned it all out and couldn't wait to see what Ellie thought of the whole thing! Sadly, our family that we were planning to stay with ended up getting sick :( So, we didn't think the trip was worth the risk. Turns out, Big Tex had big plans for the day we had planned to go! Ellie fell asl...

The Morris Family: December 2011
http://morrisfamily22.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 30, 2011. To Grandmother's House(s) we went. Christmas with Ellie was like no other Christmas that I can remember. We started celebrating early with our little family opening gifts at home a few days before Christmas. I loved how her little hand would dig in her stocking and pull out things one by one. So so precious! A fav memory from my parent's house was when Papa drove Ellie around the living room in an orange box.oh so funny (she topples.but doesn't get hurt)! It was important to me...

The Morris Family: 18 Months
http://morrisfamily22.blogspot.com/2012/09/18-months.html
Saturday, September 15, 2012. Ellie weighs 21 pounds 12 ounces and is 32.5 inches long. As described by the doctor, she is long, lean, strong, and strong willed. She screamed from the beginning to the end of the visit, and she didn't even get shots! I am going to attempt to list some of her current milestones, likes, and dislikes. Knows the letters: E, M, S, I. Rapidly growing vocabulary, learns new words almost daily. Feeds herself with a spoon. Playing with "Wook" (Luke). Elmo (and Sesame Street).

The Morris Family: Unexpected MDO backlash
http://morrisfamily22.blogspot.com/2012/09/unexpected-mdo-backlash.html
Sunday, September 9, 2012. I expected Ellie to cry when I dropped her off at Mother's Day Out (MDO). I expected myself to cry when I dropped her off. I expected Ellie to be excited when I picked her up. I had lots of expectations :). I did NOT expect MDO to effect the rest of my day with Ellie. Having a background in child development, I should have known better. I should have known that Ellie was going to have some negative side-effects. Did things improve over time? September 9, 2012 at 11:42 AM. God h...

The Morris Family: June 2012
http://morrisfamily22.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 1, 2012. Artsy Fun, Toddler style. There are so many times where I feel like I should be doing more with Ellie. It is the teacher in me.always seeking out new activities that I think will enhance her learning. Oh my! When I talk with other moms, I hear the same thing though. We all want to do whats best for our babies! So, Ellie and I tried out two different activities in the past week. We played with colored spaghetti noodles and we finger painted. We have also started playing with chalk...

The Morris Family: It's been a long time...
http://morrisfamily22.blogspot.com/2012/08/its-been-long-time.html
Friday, August 31, 2012. It's been a long time. Sometimes life gets busy and mommies get distracted. That has certainly happened to me! So, let's just sum up the past few months with some picture updates! In June we had Father's Day and a visit to the Dallas Zoo with Mimi and Poppy. We love our Super Dad! In July we celebrated Fourth of July with Mimi, Poppy, and Aunt Holly. Ellie took swimming lessons! We took lots of splash pad and park trips with friends! Happy 4th of July! Our little swimmer :).
