Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine and beyond- the ultimate field trip! Skip to primary content. Rockies Now, Blue Ridge Mountains Then. October 28, 2012. The boys always like staying in a hotel because they love swimming and watching our Food Network favorites, “Chopped” and “Iron Chef”. Enjoying warm breakfast burritos and sitting by the fire makes this splurge worth it for me. We are now sitting in the warm lobby and the boys are playing chess, while I type. Here are some pictures from our drive to K...

November 7, 2012. So I am home! Our final drive was not without a snafoo. With the Westy all packed up for the LAST time, we rolled out of my grandpa’s driveway and the boys were yelling the Westy is leaking gas. What? So 3 hours behind schedule we headed home. It was time well spent, since peace of mind is priceles...

Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine and beyond- the ultimate field trip! Skip to primary content. Home Side of the Rockies. November 2, 2012. So we “camped” for the last time in a Walmart parking lot in Twin Falls, Idaho. Luke wanted to go see Grandpa Don’s canyon and the falls there. Grandpa Don and Gramma Charlotte lived there for years and we all have fond memories of our visits to Twin Falls. One more long driving day then we are HOME! Now I just need to convince my boys to leave their fun cousins.

Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine and beyond- the ultimate field trip! Skip to primary content. October 29, 2012. OK, I am done. Tired of driving, tired of parenting on the road, tired of figuring out what to eat and where to stay. Needless to say I am ready to be home. Unfortunately my fatigue erupted in some ugly “mama drama”. I have said I was wrong and sorry and have been forgiven. We are all eating 50 cent ice cream cones so all in all feeling better. The boys at the summit, enjoying the snow.

“I support our Military personal…” | semperfifarms

Retired Marine family, serving God first, growing young men, and living off the land. 8220;I support our Military personal…”. The support is so often given….when it is not close to home and heart….Yes, I said it. Mamas, are you willing to support your son or daughter who comes to you with the desire to serve their country instead of going to college? Will you help them study for the ASVAB? Find a good recruiter? Or will you panic? Have a fit about throwing their opportunities away? The friendships forged...

Retired Marine family, serving God first, growing young men, and living off the land. Carnal vs spiritual Christian. Carnal – the first image that comes to my mind when I hear that word is a pack of wolves or coyotes going after their kill and ripping it apart, shredding the meat, and ruthlessly eating at the carcass. Not a pretty picture, but one of the reality of the circle of life. Are they looking to fill a fleshly desire for knowledge? One response ». March 22, 2015 at 00:00. Enter your comment here.

Retired Marine family, serving God first, growing young men, and living off the land. Monthly Archives: July 2013. Fresh from our patch. Delicious, organic berries. Strawberries came on as well. Freezer jam has always been a favorite treat! My first strawberry jam, of course, was freezer jam…….but how did I never before take note of the amount of sugar? 2 cups of berries to 4 cups of sugar! So, I made one batch and began the quest for a healthier jam. Giggling, healthy jam…. You can find a recipe here.

Retired Marine family, serving God first, growing young men, and living off the land. Monthly Archives: July 2015. Questions about our country. I have been thinking and mulling over our country’s recent events in my mind and have to admit I am confused. I also believe what is says about marriage – one man, one woman. Often we think of fear as the boogey man jumping out and scaring us, or walking through a dark forest lost and alone, or even the loud clap of thunder.fear. On a daily level though, what is fear? How do you keep fear away? Stay in the word of God each day! You do have time, you do have time. Every mom has time, ask God, He will show you, you do have time. If you ar...

Retired Marine family, serving God first, growing young men, and living off the land. I love spring time in the country. The new life that springs forth every where. This year we had our kids born on the same day as my newest nephew – how cool is that? We could not agree to name them the feminine version of his name. 😉. Aren’t the so cute? Mama could escape the babies…….for a limited time anyway. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:.

Well, now that we live on a farm, we get to wait for a different kind of baby……baby goats! The excitement is here, maybe not quite as much as one of the new human babies, but still rather exciting. Last year we did not breed our girls because we like them to be a full year before breeding, so we have not had a baby goat for two years! Can you imagine the excitement? Are we remembering our f...
Grace | semperfifarms
https://semperfifarms.org/2015/06/07/grace
Retired Marine family, serving God first, growing young men, and living off the land. I have been thinking about the grace we claim to extend one another. Often we are quick to say we need to ‘give grace’ give grace to one who is in sin; give grace to the unsaved sinner. Grace….acceptance? Are we called to love one through sin? Are we called to look the other way? BUT what about our brothers and sisters in Christ who carry colorful baggage of past sin. We are so often quick to accept the renewed person.

Sure there are things I would have done differently knowing what I know now, but I don’t have regrets. The closest thing I have to a regret is that I wish I would have taken more pictures of my feet.
