We travelled along the Bruxner Highway and noticed that as soon as we had crossed the line into NSW the roads really deteriorated, in some places the road didn't even exist, that fact and the rain made driving quite a nightmare. As we came over the Great Dividing Range the skyline looked so dramatic - It was too dangerous to stop so there are just photos through the windscreen. And this was the colouring as we reached the bottom of the mountains. And there is lots of washing!

Sunday, 17 June 2012. We drove through these huge rocky escarpments - some obscured by seasonal burns offs, until we reached the Border Store and Arnhem Land. Wednesday, 30 May 2012. OK, here are the camels on the beach just before sunset today. These camels are paraded through the streets to the beach every afternoon. They wear nappies so that they don't crap on the beach or footpath - pity the poor soul who has to empty them. Tomorrow we are of to Derby. This is where we are staying in Broome. Friday, 1 June 2012. Reluctantly left Broome for Derby, a little port town set on the coast above Broome. There is little to show how old it is because continuing cyclones demolish the buildings regularly. The port used to transport zinc and cattle. The old jetty still sits high in the glorious mud flats - and we had a precarious drive around it - a huge drop and no railings! Oakwood Cemetery

Cemeteries are very serene and peaceful. They are nice and quiet,and very relaxing. I like to wander about and look at the final resting places of people. I think it is amazing that people will devote a lot of money into their burial sites. The size and design of the tombstones and crypts are very impressive. On the following pages are pictures of graves of the people who are buried in Oakwood Cemetery, In Adrian Michigan.This site is dedicated to the citizens buried there.
