Far From Perfect Me. Will Cutting My Spending Make Me Lose Weight in 2016? 12 / 29 / 15. 12 / 29 / 15. So, I feel pretty good about setting some new BHAGs (Big Hairy Audacious Goals) for 2016. This New Year’s Goal isn’t about losing weight, or even about saving money. It’s about changing my behavior and cultivating new healthy habits. This holiday season was the first time in nearly a decade I overspent and used a credit card to make purchases (which is what allowed me to overspend. I’m better than this.

Our Crowded Mantel: June 2011
http://ourcrowdedmantel.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 1, 2011. We've got some little baby veggies coming up in our front-yard raised bed. It's so exciting to put the seeds in the ground and wait for something to come up. We are using the square foot gardening method which allows for maximum use of a small space compared with more traditional rows. We've got several crops planted with space slated for new additions once the season rolls on. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Pinterest and Sweet Potato Pie Dip.

Our Crowded Mantel: Secretary
http://ourcrowdedmantel.blogspot.com/2011/12/secretary.html
Wednesday, December 28, 2011. We purchased another vintage, mid-century piece of furniture last week from a shop out of Chicago where we've had a lot of luck. The owner, Cintia, dropped this gem off before we left for Christmas travels, but we've only now had time to get it situated. It's solid teak in two separate pieces. Very sturdy and in good condition. The lighting in this room is strange, but you get the general idea from the picture. December 29, 2011 at 12:51 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Phunny Pharm: January 2010
http://thephunnypharm.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
A life in the day of another humdrum resident alien on planet earth. . . Sunday, January 31, 2010. The farm on facebook. Okay, bearing in mind that i have limited Internet smarts, and don't even have a Facebook account. Apparently you have to have a first and last name to start an account. Amy (in her brilliance) set up the farm on Facebook as, 'Theo Pendoorfarm' (i.e. The Open Door Farm). I got me a good woman here. Links to this post. We have a friend, Noah. He is a kid, like any other kid who is a...

A life in the day of another humdrum resident alien on planet earth. . . Monday, September 28, 2009. It's raining. . . . Tonight there is lightening and thunder. The fields are getting to the point where we will be soon turning them in! Our pals from ol' Tejas are here and adapting quite well to the pandemonium that is our house. To go from a quiet house to a house full of kids must be a hard feat, but they seem to be surviving. Regardless, we are very glad they are here! Links to this post. We are drain...

Healthy Green Kitchen Lilac Honey
http://www.healthygreenkitchen.com/lilac-honey.html
Did you know that lilacs are edible? They are so crazy beautiful and they smell SO good…I absolutely swoon when my bushes begin to bloom. I get a big sad face on when all the flowers drop, so I decided to preserve some of them…in honey! Have I told you yet about how my bees died? Making lilac honey is very simple. To make it, just remove lots of (clean and dry) flowers from the lilac stems and pack them into a glass jar (I used one of my teeny Weck ones). You’ll be surprised how many you ca...Lilac Ice C...

A Crafty Holiday Blog Hop Event | The Artists' House
http://angelaflicker.com/a-crafty-holiday
The Artists' House. The art of making a house a home. The Artists' House. A Crafty Holiday Blog Hop Event. September 26th, 2010. I’ve been thinking a lot about all the “crafty” talk on the web these days– talk from people just like me trying to make a living doing what they love with their crafty and artistic abilities, talk about the importance in supporting crafters and artists, talk about mindful spending. And buying handmade or local when appropriate. But I don’t want to stop there. 2) What’s on your...

Previous post: tzatziki potato salad. Next post: asparagus with almonds and yogurt dressing. May 29, 2012. July 14, 2016. Jump to recipe,. Almost every year, as soon as the weather gets warm, I become obsessed with a simple, single layer cake that can be made in little time and that I promise will be all you need to be welcome at any picnic/barbecue/cook out/pot-luck that summer. Three years ago, it was a raspberry buttermilk cake. Round and finely crumbed, yet almost butter-slathered-hot-biscuit in text...
