About…me | The Vagabond
https://roamingacademic.wordpress.com/about
Travels of an archaeologist. I love being an archaeologist, and love the reactions I get from people when I tell them what I do. I could not ask for a better job than to be able to play in dirt and find artifacts. My work allows for a lot of travel, and hopefully I will never stop roaming and searching for knowledge. May the road rise up to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face And the rains fall soft upon your tracks. On The Jason Bush Cancer Fun…. Fill in yo...

Travels of an archaeologist. The New Spot…. June 1, 2009 in The Path's Beginning. This blog is intended to let interested parties know what I am up to and the new adventures I have stumbled into. I have also set up a Flickr account tied to this blog, which will be full of photos from my new camera. And blame not me if you do choose amiss. Jim Stawski on The Vacat...
The First Day… | The Vagabond

Travels of an archaeologist. The First Day…. June 5, 2009 in The Path's Beginning. My travels started with a lot of, well, being lost. I found that I lost my debit card, and am now totally penniless, and we were pretty sure that we would lose are luggage as well. Luckily, even though we ran from one end of the Houston terminal to the other and just made our second flight, our bags still found us in Morelia. Our first miracle! On The Jason Bush Cancer Fun…. Tim Syakovich on The Vacation…. Comments feed fo...

Home is where we are
Home is where we are. Roaming Africa by motorbike. Wednesday, August 10, 2011. A couple of kilometers north of Suez, we take the heavily guarded Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel underneath the Suez Canal. The traffic passes in single file through its gaping mouth and as we follow, we are starting to grasp the reality that we are saying goodbye to Africa. By midnight we arrive at our hotel in the resort town of Eilat. Really deteriorating because of all the hordes of tourists. For more pics see album " Out of Africa.
