A little blog about compulsive knitting and other crafty pursuits. Oh man. A rough week for this full-time mama. My baby girl went off to Kindergarten! Thanks to Pinterest and friends for the idea. I love it! I had a different one on Facebook but forgot to add what she wants to be when she grows up! Down the hall she goes! Every class starts the day with breakfast together- every day! For free. I love it. Waiting to pick up big sister. Dairy Queen lunch to celebrate! Kindergarten is a big deal!

A little blog about compulsive knitting and other crafty pursuits. Clara is now a first grader. Let's not talk about it. I'm still adjusting. I sewed her a skort, because a skirt isn't very modest at school when you sit "criss-cross, applesauce," now is it? I used the Oliver S Badminton pattern. The shirt from the pattern, however, was not a winner. It was very wide and fit her funny, so I scrapped it and we went with a store bought Hello Kitty shirt (to match the ribbon I sewed around the skirt).

tinkerknits: mamas and papas
http://tinkerknits.blogspot.com/2013/11/mamas-and-papas.html
A little blog about compulsive knitting and other crafty pursuits. Sorry for the blur). While I was out shlepping my fox masks on boutique owners, I got a request for more softie dolls to stock at Mother Earth Gardens. So, I whipped a few (dozen) up. I decided to make equal amounts of mamas and papas. After all.I like equality. I have never sold the boy version in shops before, and I have a feeling it will be popular. Who knows, it might even result in more sales (get a set! Isn't that super exciting?

A little blog about compulsive knitting and other crafty pursuits. Cold hands can still craft. Remember New Year's Eve? That happened like a month ago. January has gone really fast, hasn't it? I, however, am getting a little bored. I depend on being outside of my house every day. I like people. And nature. And this weather is not very friendly toward those two likes. I have only ever knit this pattern. Also, this quilt. That's a little update on my happenings in the coldest January ever. Dreaming of ...

Livet på Fågelsången: Saturday - Mother's Day part one.
http://stenkumla.blogspot.com/2011/05/saturday-mothers-day-part-one.html
Sunday, May 29, 2011. Saturday - Mother's Day part one. On Saturday, we celebrated Mother's Day a day early by going on a little outing. We went out for lunch to Leva Kungslador. I love ears on baby clothes. After lunch, we drove just north of Visby to Åhsbergska hagen and Gustavsvik's beach. We went for a little walk at the beach and in the meadow area. Haylie could not resist kidly urges, and walked right into the water after some minnows, getting her pants all wet from the knee down.
