Roberto Almanza Art: Public Pool
http://almanzart.blogspot.com/2014/01/public-pool.html
Wednesday, January 22, 2014. It's a typical day at the public pool, with the lifeguard more interested in her beauty than the swimmers' safety, until a UFO crash-lands in the nearby woods and the alien enters. Public Pool Character Designs. When working on the final drawing I decided to add some bent perspective guidelines, to help add the floor tiles. I did the same for the water to help me arrange the objects in the pool. Added reflections in water on a separate layer in MULTIPLY mode.

http://almanzart.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 20, 2013. This is an editorial piece for an article on human consumption. It is a reflection on how, in a near future, natural resources will not be enough to satisfy the fast growing, hungry population. I begin with thin glazes of paint. I try to solve as many problems. As I can w/ the undertone. I began by sket...

Sunday, February 19, 2012. For this painting I began w/ these sketches. I refined the sketch further.I like to use tracing paper for this step. In this case I used it to add the paint drips. This is the final line. This is what I would transfer to board and paint over. The next step was to do a Value and Color Study. I decided to use Rainbow colors for the Paint. I went with a brown rabbit because otherwise I would have too much "white" on the center left side of the image, and isolating the frog-.
