Wednesday, 29 June 2011. Old and abandoned for a very different reason, this is the Gembaku Domu or A-Dome building in Hiroshima. Built in 1914 and once known as the Industrial Promotion Hall, it stands as a silent reminder near the hypocentre of the atomic bomb blast of August 6 1945. Links to this post. The bo...

Working in a pool of murky light late at night. Wednesday, 31 August 2011. Mini Microscope - Beginnings. Feels like forever since I sat down to work on a book. Did a gallery talk yesterday about a couple of books I have in a local exhibition. Lots of questions and enthusiasm from the audience. Heartening to know people are genuinely interested and intrigued by what I'm doing. Have been busy with life and haven't had the opportunity to get on with things creative but. Links to this post. Working in a pool of murky light late at night. Tuesday, 13 May 2014. The up-side of getting up super early to get my daughter to the train station when it is still cold and dark is being able to see the sun rise over the horizon (after filing in and out of the constant stream of headlights). The sun isn't showing itself around here until just after 6am at the moment and disappearing around 5.30pm. Lovely, short, cool and sunny days. BLISS. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
