The Yellow Wallpaper: October 2012
http://emilysyellowwallpaper.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Life is very much more exciting now than it used to be."- Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Tuesday, October 30, 2012. It is almost November. And, yes, I'm doing NaNo again. I did it last year and, while it was a challenge, I learned so much and couldn't help but to do it again. The reason I'm doing it is exactly the same reason I did it last year. I'd love for you to join me if you're doing it this year. Here's a link to me. Then NASA discovers something on Mars, something that freaks the world out: An exact re...

Writer by day, writer by night. That's right. I write. 8220;Superstorm Sandy Hits Home”. Since 1998, I have been writing for a variety of trade and business magazines. Now, some of those magazines were a little offbeat. The first one I worked on was. Which is focused on the carwashing and detailing industry. I learned more than you could ever imagine (well, unless you are a carwash worker) about soaps, water pressure, mitter curtains and conveyor tracks. Check out: “ Wrap and Roll Never Dies. Almost (not quite) There: August 2012
http://almostnotquitethere.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Almost (not quite) There. Monday, August 20, 2012. Life is But a Dream. I wasn't going to post today, but I wrote a song the other day for a book I'm writing. Of course. We can definitely talk more about this in depth if you were curious how (or why) I just decided that randomly in the middle of the night, but the point, I guess, is that the revelation that I was merely memory made me think about that old nursery rhyme "Row, Row, Row Your Boat." If you don't remember it, here's the gist of it:. Here are ...

Purdie Writing: October 2014
http://purdiewriting.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 13, 2014. I'm happy to announce I've completed my fourth manuscript- on September 29th, to be exact. I wrote AURASEER over four months, and considering my first story took me 2 1/2 years to write and revise, this is a major accomplishment for me. As I wrote that first story, I wondered many times how it would feel to have a draft done. Even now, it feels magical to complete a story. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Photo Credit: Erin Summerill. Purdie Writing: Song for Anton
http://purdiewriting.blogspot.com/2014/11/song-for-anton.html
Friday, November 14, 2014. In my ongoing tradition to write a song for each one of my stories, here is my latest song for my latest story, AURASEER. The song is sung from my main character Sonya's point of view. She is empathic and her words here are for the prince of Riaznin, Anton Ozerov. I'll leave the rest to your imagination! Also, the thumbnail image of me singing below cracks me up. I look like I'm in pain! I feel your pain before you cry,. I feel the wind before you sigh,. Beyond the veil of rain...
