And other interesting facts. Monday, November 17, 2008. I now have my Marantz amp and Advent speakers connected to my iMac, and wow it sounds great. I am still waiting for my turntable, but in the meantime iTunes is sounding sweeter than ever. It's not the prettiest setup (yet,) but the sound sure makes up for any lack of aethetics. I got the amp for really cheap, and it works perfectly well. It just needs a bit of cleaning on the volume pot. The left speaker is over by the front door, next the fireplace.

And other interesting facts. Wednesday, December 3, 2008. My wife's work just changed insurance benefits, so they gave everyone a folder containing lots of paperwork. Below is a picture of the folder, which I scanned. She brought it home to show me. She hands me the folder and says "Do you notice anything strange in this picture? I pick it up and begin thinking Oh look, happy insurance peop- "AAAHHH! I hope the new insurance benefits cover "Man Hands.". Insurance people are spies and peeping toms.

And other interesting facts. Saturday, March 21, 2009. Yup, there's a baby in the house. Today we washed a quilt. When my wife pulled it out of the washer she said "what is all this? The quilt was covered in linty white fuzz that looked like a disintegrated paper towel. It must have got washed with a baby wipe! She then looked back inside the washing machine. Not a baby wipe. John has been playing records on our turntable. Also our Victrola sure has an interesting sound with all the scratchy sounds that goes along with the music. And other interesting facts. Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Apple's new line of updated iMacs came out today, and the specs really disappointed me. Granted they are faster and have better graphics, but I think Apple made a crazy decision with their selection of ports. I had hoped they would add an e-sata connection, but no such luck.
