Thursday, June 5, 2014. Good Fences Thursday in Williamsburg. I come to you today from Virginia Beach, VA, where I am spending time with my daughter and her family as they prepare for a transfer to San Antonio, TX. My son-in-law has been stationed here for the past four years and one of the things I will miss most about visiting here is going to Colonial Williamsburg. Today's fences and gate are at the Bruton Parish Church. This is one sturdy gate but I love the embellishments on top to make it pretty.

Friday, July 10, 2015. It's A Pink Thing. One of us would be here if it wasn't a "pink thing" when you think about it. I have pondered my. Fondness of the color pink and I'm not sure when it began. Of course I had a pink bedroom as a little girl but most little girls do. Through my teenage years I had a lavender bedroom. Then, at some point after I had my daughter my wardrobe turned pink. Friday, July 3, 2015. Happy 4th of July! Fresh off of a mini-break to one of my favorite places on earth - Pismo Beach - and I'm feeling renewed and refreshed! Coinciding with the 4th I tried to figure out a way to combine the two. That didn't work so much so, sigh, away with the pink for this week! It almost hurts to say that! A couple of weeks ago I was in Soquel, CA with a friend and we went to one of our favorite garden/gift shops. If you're ever in the area check out Wisteria. Labels: 4th of July.

Saturday, October 25, 2014. Little Girls Love Pink. Today a little celebration of my granddaughter, Evelyn. She is the girliest of girls. She is dainty with her hands and loves to point her toes. She can be a little bulldozer, however, and has given her older brother a black eye. We're going to have to watch out for this one! At the photo shoot when she turned 18 months old she was. All ruffles and Mommy's pink high heels. Of course, all girls love make-up and pearls! And what happy cheerful eyes. :).

A last minute trip to San Diego for my aunt's funeral (she had been sick for many years and now she is at peace) consumed one weekend.
