Tuesday, 12 May 2015. Little girls that fiddle. If Im feeling a bit tired and just want to chill and watch TV, but still be slightly productive at the same time, I like to make pen drawings in my small sketch book and because I'm slightly sleepy the results can be quite surprising and strange. Fiona Michie : Small stories
http://fionadraws.blogspot.com/2014/09/small-stories.html
Wednesday, 3 September 2014. It's been a while since I last posted but I have been busy, creating large and small pieces. I've also been creating a lot of images from my imagination, using no visual references. Working in this was allows me far more freedom and the images seem to have a more ethereal quality to them which is exactly what I am aiming for. Ella, is a large drawing, roughly based on one of my images from the Seekers, 2013 series. Honeycomb, 85 x 95 cm. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sunday, April 17, 2011. There is useful stuff on various websites about what people actually do with their PhDs. I found Beyond the PhD. To do There were even a couple of profiles for people who ended up in research support (fancy that, a bit like me! Hhmm, so it looks like that's the start of my post-doc action plan for now, I suppose. Blogs are good for thinking things through, particularly when you've exhausted real people's ears on the subject you're endlessly pondering. View my complete profile.

Saturday, January 29, 2011. There are better videos of tumbleweeds (I know because I have spent a disturbing amount of time watching them, in true procrastinator style) but this one has the advantage of being set to Frankie Laine's perky 'Rawhide'- a genius combination. Sunday, July 04, 2010. Haven't fancied writing anything for ages as all the stuff that's been preoccupying me wasn't really appropriate, given my rather half-hearted occasional attempts at anonymity and trying to be sensible about what I stick on the internet.
