Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Here is a sneak peak at family photos we had taken a few weeks ago thanks to a gift we received from Justin's office. Not bad, huh? Madeline, 4 and a half years, Weston, almost 3, and Luci, 7 months. I happened to schedule these on the hottest day of July- it was over 100 degrees at 8:00pm! While lying in bed with said chimp firmly attached to my back, I realize that I have lost any privacy or right to it. If I'm in the bathroom, I might as well hand out printed invitations to my kids that say, "COME ON IN! For those of you who get to go into the bathroom alone, enjoy it and consider yourself lucky!

Thursday, April 30, 2009. For Ellie's 6th birthday, we had a rock star party. That's right. I had a bunch of Hannah Montanas running around my house shooting music videos and putting tattoos on their faces and arms. We had a great time! The guitar "shape" was as far as I got for the cake. Sunday, September 27, 2009. It's funny going to fairs with my own kids. I see the excitement in their eyes and try to play along, while internally checking out all the rusted ride frames and food that costs more than a down payment on a small car. I shared Ellie's first ferris wheel ride with her- just look at her face! All the while I heard every creak, felt every shudder and wondered when the operator's last drug test had been.
