Robot Building Lessons: April 2009

Saturday, April 25, 2009. Building real robots is hard. Robots are complex systems which rely on software, hardware and mechanical systems all working together. If you build everything yourself, all types of complex interactions occur, which you usually can't anticipate. If you buy things off-the-shelf, they may not be compatible or well suited to a robotics application. Power Distribution With Motors. Power Distribution Over Long Distances. Because it is dangerous! Robot Building Lessons: What Can a Robot Do for You?

http://www.robotbuildinglesson.blogspot.com/2010/03/what-can-robot-do-for-you.html

Saturday, March 27, 2010. What Can a Robot Do for You? We were supposed to be in the robotic age by now. There are robots in many factories, but we don’t see them much when we stroll around the mall. I haven’t seen one robot out shopping for its master. Have you? I haven’t seen a robot drive a car down the highway. If there was such a robot, I would want one. Then I could sit in the back of my conversion van and watch television or a VCR tape like Sahara starring Humphrey Bogart. I decided to take a look...

Robotic: step 10soldering the brain

http://robotic-world-resource.blogspot.com/2009/04/step-10soldering-brain.html

Sunday, April 5, 2009. Step 10soldering the brain. Here is the hard part, soldering each wire. Look at this picture and do the same :P. One thing that I forgot to do back then, was to use different colours for the wires to simplify everything. With some special software I was able to achieve that. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Step 12melting some shoes. Step 10soldering the brain. Step 9 the back caster. Step 8 glueing the motors. Step 6the famous third connection Here is the pri.

Robotic: step 7glueing switchs

http://robotic-world-resource.blogspot.com/2009/04/step-7glueing-switchs.html

Sunday, April 5, 2009. Glue your switchs on the battery holder in a V shape. Don't forget to put the blue "third connection" wire in front. I have found a much more efficient way to but the switchs on the battery holder. You can glue them in a A shape so both antenna cross and will not get stuck in a leg chair. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Step 12melting some shoes. Step 10soldering the brain. Step 9 the back caster. Step 8 glueing the motors. Step 6the famous third connection Here is the pri.

Robotic: Step 9 the back caster

http://robotic-world-resource.blogspot.com/2009/04/step-9-back-caster.html

Sunday, April 5, 2009. Step 9 the back caster. Here you are going to make the third wheel, the back caster using a plastic or wooden pearl. You can make something fancy or very simple. I took the BIG paperclip. If you can not find a wooden pearl, you can use the paperclip directly on the floor. It will work but might catch on stuff while rolling around. After that you need to thin the end of each wire with your soldering iron. Oups, I forgot to tell you to plug your soldering iron, HAHA you need to wait now! Step 3Preparing the parts. Sunday, April 5, 2009. Step 12melting some shoes. Step 12melting some shoes. Take the heatshrink and shrink them on the shaft of your motors. Use a lighter to attach them. Yo can put more layer if you want to, different colours. I even saw some people use hot glue stick on the end of the shaft. They took 1cm of the glue stick and attach it directly to the shaft. In 1971 a movie was made about a future where the Earth had become so polluted, that the forests were dying off. In order to save these forests, small biomes were constructed and mounted onto space freighters and sent out into space, presumably to wait until mankind had worked out the pollution problem and Earth once again could be fertile enough for these ship to return and replant what had been killed. Moreover this was the story of one man, Freeman Lowell. On their computer and enjoy coca cola. Zero o...
