rob's rants: Believe it or not -- Part 2
http://pastorrobsrants.blogspot.com/2008/02/believe-it-or-not-part-2.html
Friday, February 29, 2008. Believe it or not - Part 2. We left off with a pretty ' blanket statement. Hate (there's enough relativism in that sentence to choke a horse! Here's what I said a lot of them and liberal thinking (sorry, 'progressives') think these days;. But before I even get to this, let me rope off a rabbit trial some of you might likely be headed down already. The thought that I am calling all liberals bad. Liberal is not bad. A careful, considerate approach to life (. Anything goes = bad.
Jen Murray: September 2008
http://jen-murray.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 7, 2008. I owe a debt of gratitude and thanks to everyone who has been praying for me and supporting me since mid- August. I would not have made it this far without my family and friends showering me with love and encouragement. This process and total life changes has definitely brought me to my knees before God. I praise Him for giving me hope and comfort, as well as blessing me with exactly the people I would need to help me get through this and grow through this. Links to this post.
rob's rants: Darwin Overdose
http://pastorrobsrants.blogspot.com/2008/08/darwin-overdose.html
Thursday, August 28, 2008. My generation overdosed on Darwin. And, though many who overdose make it back to the land of the living, some aren't quite the same. Drugs have their consequences, and so do many other additions we overdose on. To quote Mark Batterson, "Much of the angst created. Friday, July 24, 2009. Summer of Jesus Week 2. 8211; lots of stuff, it’s a big one! Summer of Jesus is my home group's study. It will definitely take us longer than just the summer to get through. I am sharing parts of what we discuss and mostly my thoughts and observations. I am not a scholar or Bible teacher, just a regular person, studying the Word with other Christ-followers, and trying to apply Jesus' teachings to my own life). Fishermen- Matt 4:18-22, Mark 1:16-20, Luke 5:1-11. One of Kelly's bigge...

Why do we feel so disappointed when people don’t live up to the expectations we have for them? It was sport for me, in a way. Looking back, I didn’t realize how much of a hater I was being (judgmental,. Did I stop to think what might be going in his/her life? People are the same way. That’s why we need forgiveness...I also ...

Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Things I've Been Chewing On. One of the books I am currently reading was recommended by my pastor during a recent mid-week service at church. "Experiencing God" by Henry Blackaby. Has been awesome so far. Here are some of the things that are still lingering upstairs:. It is one thing to believe in God's power, it is quite another to live your life in obedient response to an all-powerful God. Where I am, there My servant also will be." John 12:26. You before He works.

Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Sure there is no God? This is a continuation of yesterday’s post. I have a few more amazing moments. From the Georgia Aquarium to share with you all. Perhaps the greatest Homer Simpson moment (DOOP! Was seeing all the incredible efforts human beings have to go through in order to keep the fish in one of the relatively small exhibits alive. Here is a sampling:. There is a waterfall. Another affect is that the cascading water. Stirs up the other water and pumps in oxygen. So ever...

rob's rants: Believe it or not Part 1
http://pastorrobsrants.blogspot.com/2008/02/believe-it-or-not-part-1.html
Sunday, February 24, 2008. Believe it or not Part 1. This weekend I asked the congregation how many used AOL? Just by a show of hands, anyone here using America Online? In three of the services there was no one! Not a single person raised their hand! This would be odd in a church of several hundred, but over 2,000! Now, grant it, there were a dozen here and there (we have seven weekend services - there's bound to be a few) but for the most part it was "American online" instead of, 'America.'. We seem to ...

Saturday, December 11, 2010. We all have positive thinking, but it is the way we use our positive thinking everyday in life that benefits us. Without positive thinking I believe one cannot be successful in life. I personally believe that positive thinking is one of the keys to achieving ones success as well as how it affects ones health which later combines with their happiness. With positive thinking the mind anticipates happiness, joy and a successful outcome of every situation and action. Being happy ...

REACH those far from God. RAISE them up in Christ. RELEASE them for His mission. This three letter phrase and it’s twin brother, next to him. Appears over and over again in Nehemiah chapter three. And it’s key to any successful church endeavor. Here are a couple examples. The sons of Hassenaah built the Fish Gate. They laid its beams and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars. And next to them. Meremoth the son of Uriah, son of Hakkoz repaired. And next to them. Zadok the son of Baana repaired. Mentality...

Rob McCann- Peace Corps Mali Volunteer. Thursday, September 04, 2008. So my time here in Mali is officially coming to a close on Friday. Last Tuesday we had a party in Madoubougou. And then on Thursday I left there for the last time. I had been bringing out my stuff a little at a time for the last month, and my host dad strapped the rest of it onto the back of his motorcycle. I drove my bike, and we went to the highway together to catch a bus to Sikasso. Just fine and now I've. From Mali, so that should ...

On his first day of school, he got a great present, his little brother. Ari Baby Ari was born. 7 lbs 3 oz. He's been growing quickly and at 3 months he was 14 and a half pounds. Blake was very excited when. Ari came home from the hospital as you can see in this video. It's not so different from the essay I wrote about him in 6th grade.
