Jo's harvest: Happy basil
http://josharvest.blogspot.com/2014/03/happy-basil.html
One woman's musings on being well while living with MS, and the joy of growing, cooking and eating great food. Friday, March 21, 2014. The basil on our window sill is doing well. I am enjoying watching it grow. I will enjoy it even more when it's ready for harvesting. In the mean time, we get to pinch bits out of the top and eat them in the spirit of making it grow full and lush. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. One woman's musings on being well while living with MS, and the joy of growing, cooking and eating great food. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. When you get down to it, tomatoes are pretty easy to grow, if not to keep disease-free. I've never had any trouble growing tomatoes. But growing really tasty ones? The only thing I can put it down to is that they grew and ripened quickly. But maybe there's something else I'm missing. Do you have a secret for growing really tasty tomatoes? Jo's harvest: July 2010

One woman's musings on being well while living with MS, and the joy of growing, cooking and eating great food. Sunday, July 18, 2010. Recipe number two - dahl with spinach. As an undergraduate, I shared a house with someone with a passion for dahl. Whenever it was their turn to cook, we would be presented with this stodgy, oversalted yet curiously bland mass of lentils and rice. I have never recovered from this culinary assault and have thus avoided dahl for nigh on twenty years. Saturday, July 17, 2010.

Jo's harvest: January 2015

One woman's musings on being well while living with MS, and the joy of growing, cooking and eating great food. Friday, January 9, 2015. Hard times in the veggie boxes. The things growing in pots are in a different growing medium and doing well. So, we're starting to see a tiny amount of yield. The good thing about gardening is that it's a marathon not a sprint. I will correct the soil under the cloak of autumn/winter and then be ready to go again. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

I am a food loving coffee snob with a taste for alcohol and an inconsistently green thumb. I live with my lovely partner and our canine pal, the mighty Jezebel. Here, I celebrate my love of (growing, cooking and eating) food while trying to get seriously fit and learning to overcome multiple sclerosis.

One woman's musings on being well while living with MS, and the joy of growing, cooking and eating great food. Monday, April 26, 2010. Eleven, exercise and enchiladas.
