Domenica 9 dicembre 2007. First of all I have to say that I really like the word “environment” because it perfectly gives the idea of the context in which we learn a language. As Sarah wrote, the learning process doesn’t stop when our formal learning is over: learning a language is more than attending a course! That’s why the PLE is very important: it helps people to become aware of what they do to improve their skills, of which tools they use and of the whole environment in which they learn.

Mercoledì 14 maggio 2008. Some reflections about the course. 8230;Final post…. As I wrote in the wiki, I wasn’t so enthusiastic to start again in February. I had some problems with my timetable so I considered the exchange ‘another thing’ I had to do. Then, once I started the skype sessions, I started to enjoy the experience. This is true, not only for virtual documents, but also for real ones. Of course, with paper books it’s easier because you know the author and the publisher and you can check their credentials and some reviews. But what about web sites? Well, you can find whatever you want: sport, music, television, politics; you have the embarrassment of riches! Venerdì 28 marzo 2008. The week before the Easter break I started my Skype experience and I really enjoyed it. Federico introduced me to this new world; it was the first time for me and I looked for a little help because I felt lost! Actually, Skype is a quite simple tool and I had no problems in understanding how it worked. Our peer is a student from California with Chinese origins.
