My Life as Described by Twin Trials and Triumphs: Somewhere Deep in Bear Country
http://twintrialsandtriumphs.blogspot.com/2015/08/somewhere-deep-in-bear-country.html
August 8, 2015. Somewhere Deep in Bear Country. I bought the girls a few early reader books when they were around three. One was Biscuit, which I don’t really remember from my childhood, but two were ones I remember fondly, Amelia Bedelia and the Berenstain Bears. We read them each hundreds of times, but the girls particularly latched on to the Berenstain Bears one. And then, I was tooling around online a few days ago and I happened to think to search for “Berenstain Bears”. I found a gre...From our new ...

My Life as Described by Twin Trials and Triumphs: November 2014
http://twintrialsandtriumphs.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
November 30, 2014. For all intents and purposes, my girls are Big Kids. They dress themselves. They can buckle and un-buckle their car seats. They go to school. They are learning to read really proficiently. They do math “just for fun”. Much of this Big Kid stuff is welcome, and oh-so-awesome. But I am so very grateful for the little glimpses I still get of their not-so-Big-Kid selves. We get to watch the parade! 8221; And they were some kind of disappointed they had to wait until 9am for it to start.

My Life as Described by Twin Trials and Triumphs: 9 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy
http://twintrialsandtriumphs.blogspot.com/2015/07/9-tips-for-healthy-pregnancy.html
July 31, 2015. 9 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy. Although I called myself taking good notes during the time I was pregnant with A and B, I look back now and wish I’d written down so much more. I'm taking a trip down Memory Lane today to record some tidbits about what I did to support a healthy pregnancy. (I’m no doctor, mind you! This is what worked for me…and if this might spur some inspiration for someone else, all the better.). Outside of my Gatorade routine, I drank WATER…lots and lots and lots o...

My Life as Described by Twin Trials and Triumphs: Swim Lessons (and Daddy)
http://twintrialsandtriumphs.blogspot.com/2015/07/swim-lessons-and-daddy.html
July 18, 2015. Swim Lessons (and Daddy). I signed the girls up for swim lessons again this year, again with Ms. J. We just love her, and the girls have learned so much. It’s hard to believe this is our THIRD summer with her! I left work early to accompany Daddy and the girls to their first lesson. It was so wonderful to see Ms. J, and to see the girls take right back to the water! I got to go to the girls’ fifth lesson, last Saturday, and I was pretty impressed to see their progress! What’s been eq...

My Life as Described by Twin Trials and Triumphs: Little Lambs
http://twintrialsandtriumphs.blogspot.com/2015/08/little-lambs.html
August 4, 2015. GG was here last week, and she’s always clamoring, “ Let me buy the girls something! 8221; I appreciate the sentiment…and I LOVE to shop! But I’m working really hard not to set the example for the girls that shopping is sport. The next morning, the girls saw their towels on the counter, and they were thrilled. “ Whose are those? 8221; they exclaimed with a glimmer in their eyes. I got the towels washed a day or so later, and the last night GG was at the house, I whispered to the girls, &#...

My Life as Described by Twin Trials and Triumphs: September 2014
http://twintrialsandtriumphs.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
September 22, 2014. Since the girls started school and I started back to work, I realized I haven't had my camera out nearly as often as I always have. It isn't literally dusty (the horror! Picture file was sadly thin. I packed my camera this past Saturday morning, as the girls and I went to our beloved Jackson's Orchard for their annual Orchestra in the Orchard event. [I have pictures from our visit each year that I could pull out.but I'm not quite that organized these days.]. Here are a few of my faves.

My Life as Described by Twin Trials and Triumphs: October 2014
http://twintrialsandtriumphs.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
October 10, 2014. Well, not in this country…but I can see my sweet kiddos trying to figure it all out. This mama is a huge football fan (of the American sort), Alabama Crimson Tide football, to be more exact. While it was only over the last year that we actually let the girls watch any football (the TV is rarely on while the girls are awake), they’ve been decked in Crimson and White since they were tiny. 8221; She threw her little hands in the air and yelled, “ TOUCHDOWN! Daddy just shook his head. 8220;...

My Life as Described by Twin Trials and Triumphs: August 2015
http://twintrialsandtriumphs.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
August 27, 2015. We Decided Together to Help You". KNOCK ON WOOD as I write this. I feel the risk of provoking the Law of Murphy is one I’m willing to take in order to record what’s been happening over the past few days at our house. The girls have been so kind. So helpful. And so PROACTIVE. It’s amazing. It’s not unusual that my request to clean up is met with, “ BUT I CAN’T DO IT BY MYSELF! 8221; (even if I’m right there alongside). It was an August morning miracle, for sure. Wowza! Of course I’m...

My Life as Described by Twin Trials and Triumphs: January 2015
http://twintrialsandtriumphs.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
January 30, 2015. One-on-One Time with *This* Kid. On Saturday, I had a monster grocery list to accomplish. A monster grocery list Saturday afternoon shoppers does not = fun with two kiddos (even with a hubby in tow). Hubby and I decided to divvy up and enjoy some one-on-one time.definitely less stress, and such sweet fun, to boot! Before A and I headed out. Baby A said she wanted to go to Panera. That didn't take any convincing for me! Such a bright smile! She told me. What a dear heart she has. We chat...
