Observatory News and Events. About The Non Profit. Run for the Birds. NASA's Next Mars Probe Set to Launch. NASA's next mission to Mars set to explore the Red Planet's atmosphere is getting ready to launch on Monday (Nov. 18). The Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution spacecraft (called MAVEN. For short) is expected to investigate how the ancient Red Planet shifted from being a warm, wet world to the cold desert it is today. Don't miss solar viewing! Saturdays during the month of April, from 11am-2pm.

Each class takes between 2-2.5 hours and are available either on-site, or off-site. There is a maximum of 35 students per program, with 5 adult chaperones.
