If you are one of the three people that followed this blog in the past, I should warn you that this is probably going to be a "mommy blog" with an emphasis on gardening. It's inevitable. Rock Garden Project: May 2010

http://rockgardenproject.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

A Self-sufficiency Blog Gone Mommy. Sunday, May 23, 2010. I woke up at 6 am this morning to a warbling vireo and a field of fog outside my window. Last night I just wanted to go to sleep fast so I could wake up and get to Sunday. Like a little kid. I was looking forward to a sunny day in the garden and then a bike ride to the arts festival downtown and some live music. And maybe some ice cream. By 1:00 today it was too hot! Tuesday, May 18, 2010. But in the meantime. I had no idea it would be so good&#46...

Rock Garden Project: October 2010

http://rockgardenproject.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

A Self-sufficiency Blog Gone Mommy. Thursday, October 7, 2010. There are two reasons that I've been neglecting and avoiding this space. One, my garden sucked eggs this year. Two, we have a baby on the way, so I was pregnant and sick for most of the summer. I still had a garden this season. I did have some successful harvests. However, I had the worst gardening season I've ever had in my 8 or so years of gardening. But I forgave myself as I was growing a baby instead of veggies! So, my favorite crops, car...

Rock Garden Project: December 2010

http://rockgardenproject.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

A Self-sufficiency Blog Gone Mommy. Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda: The Last of the Regrets. I'm only going to say this one last time: Ooops. I've never failed so hard at gardening. I was a little distracted by the hormone haze of nausea. I also had a big fat case of the Maybe Laters. Imagine someone on muscle relaxers. (Actually. pregnancy does involve natural muscle relaxers. I hadn't thought of that.) Here's my Didn't Do List:. I DID get the garlic in! The baby's due the first wee...

Rock Garden Project: Three Months Later...

http://rockgardenproject.blogspot.com/2011/06/three-months-later.html

A Self-sufficiency Blog Gone Mommy. Friday, June 10, 2011. The new little gardener arrived March 1st. I assumed I would be ready to get lots of gardening done by the beginning of May. Ha! Turns out new motherhood is a bit more complicated, painful, and time-consuming than I was aware. And the little sugar pea is much more interested in:. And toys she can chew on. Wouldn't it be great to grow and make your own baby food? But that's just not going to happen on any large scale here. I don't know how the...

sassyandgreen: October 2013

http://sassyandgreen.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, October 15, 2013. So in my humble little abode, I don't have a pantry just two doors of the cupboards that serves as my pantry/spice cupboard. The 50 things book inspired me to clean it out and sort - OH MY STARS! Many out of date things in the back. happy to say it is now clean, organized, and all within save to use dates! When was the last time you cleaned out your pantry? Perhaps today is your day! Thursday, October 10, 2013. So I read the book Throw out 50 Things. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://sassyandgreen.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Monday, December 28, 2009. Baby, it's cold outside! Given the drop in temperature and the snowfall in my lovely corner of the world, I have decided to post on keeping those tootsies toasty. First, take stock. Look at yourself, how are you dressed right at this moment? Could you be wearing the same thing in April? You know, when it is warmer out? Cozy, sweater tomorrow! Other things to do, check the windows - are there drafts? Labels: adventures in econess. 1 1/2 cup Sugar.

sassyandgreen: It's a small world!

http://sassyandgreen.blogspot.com/2013/01/its-small-world.html

Friday, January 18, 2013. It's a small world! I open the envelope to pull out another envelope addressed to Mrs. A - I'm now a bit confused. I pull out of the second envelope my envelope and Christmas card and a sheet of paper - now I'm really confused - why is she sending me back my card? I am still chuckling! How does this craziness happen! FYI - this is not meant to be a slam on the USPS - I love them! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Mennonite Girls Can Cook. sassyandgreen: Misadventures in Natural Beauty

http://sassyandgreen.blogspot.com/2011/01/misadventures-in-natural-beauty.html

Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Misadventures in Natural Beauty. Here is when the lack of food processing makes itself known. First, the water started a little to hot - great, bake a few pieces of banana, wonderful. Wait - where did all these tangles come from? CONFESSIONAL TIME: This is a review lesson - I had the exact same experience minus the hamster sculpture with an avocado mask earlier this year. Great treatment when run through the food processor, new torture method when not. January 6, 2011 at 12:03 PM.
