Friday, September 24, 2010. Hoarder evicted from 11th and Otis, stuff everywhere. This has been in the news a fair amount, but it's too wild not to write about. A couple friends tipped me off that a woman was evicted from her home at 11th and Otis and apparently she was a hoarder: when the US Marshals put all her stuff on the street, it stretched for four blocks. Monday, August 10, 2015. Too bad: 3 Salsas taqueria out of business. Some sad news for taco fans: Three Salsas, the takeout Mexican taqueria at 3439 14th Street NW, is now closed. A reader sent in a photo of the storefront, which is covered in plywood and has a for rent sign on it. I was a fan of the spot, they had tasty tacos and were nice folks. Then again, there are multiple spots nearby, like Taqueria Distrito Federal and the new (and fantastic) Taqueria Habanero just blocks away. Posted by Andrew W.

A reader alerted me to this amusing situation yesterday: somebody parked facing the wrong way on Park Road. They're still there this morning, plus a few parking tickets. Some news for Georgia Avenue: Sweet Mango, the Jamaican restaurant at Georgia and New Hampshire, will eventually be demolished and turned into condos.
