When I think back on all the time, energy, and effort I wasted on trying to be thin, I am embarassed. What a sorry use of my resources. So I guess for almost 30 years of my life, dieting got what it wanted out of me. It got me to squander my resources that could have been better used to break down systems of oppression and build up positive forces in the world. How many people are stuck in that loop?

Monday Morning Pep Talk. Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. Dream Job: Professional book reader. First and foremost, Gone Girl was on the best books I’ve read in the past 5 years.
