Busy Veggie Mama: October 2014
http://busyveganmama.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Cooking for my little family. Thursday, October 30, 2014. I had barely gotten the words "pirate storytime" out, when Olivia had donned her best pirate threads and was ready to go. Such an attentive pirate. She was ready for the interactive portion of the program. Balloon swords were passed around and there was much swashbuckling to be had. Afterwards we hung out and, of course, she was drawn towards the masks and disguises. Kind of creepy, no? We also made another green juice. Vegan on the cheap. I also ...

Busy Veggie Mama: Summer Cut
http://busyveganmama.blogspot.com/2015/05/summer-cut.html
Cooking for my little family. Wednesday, May 6, 2015. She was excited/nervous/proud about getting her first "big girl" haircut. She sat up tall in the chair and moved her head as instructed by the stylist. OK, I can't even deal with how grown up she looks. And it's so easy to take care of. She was not a fan of having the tangles combed out each morning and now that is not an issue. With a shortbread crust, cashew cream filling, and lots of lovely fruits glazed with apricot jam. Vegan pie in the sky.

Busy Veggie Mama: Dental Assistants
http://busyveganmama.blogspot.com/2015/05/dental-assistants.html
Cooking for my little family. Monday, May 4, 2015. I rarely eat fruit for breakfast except in smoothie form, but I've been loving raspberries lately. Jackson and Olivia had a dental cleaning this afternoon. I immediately loved the new hygienist when she asked if they wanted to put on some gloves and give her a hand. They each took their turns with "Mr. Thirsty" the air-sucker. It was a fun and successful visit. Still zero cavities for either one. Labels: appetite for reduction. View my complete profile.

Busy Veggie Mama: Hot in Here
http://busyveganmama.blogspot.com/2015/05/hot-in-here.html
Cooking for my little family. Thursday, May 7, 2015. He spends a lot of the day pressing himself on the cool tiles and drinking ice water. We have been spending more time than usual out of the house, taking advantage of the free air conditioning in restaurants and other place. One afternoon we tried a Chinese restaurant near our house, Inchin's Bamboo Garden. The vegan menu was indeed brought to me on request, and it was extensive! I started with the veggie spring rolls. After lunch we ran a few errands,...

Busy Veggie Mama: January 2015
http://busyveganmama.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Cooking for my little family. Friday, January 30, 2015. Today Jackson received a "problem solver" award at the quarterly awards ceremony. It's one of the character traits that they focus on. He has always been a curious little person who loves figuring things out, so I thought it was a fitting award! Olivia loves to check out the fish tank whenever we visit Jackson's school. For lunch, I made the Horseradish Dill Hummus from Appetite for Reduction. 8 oz almond milk. 1 tsp cocoa powder. She loves it. ...
