Diwa: July 2009

Wanderings of an outlander. Monday, July 6, 2009. HPV and cervical cancer. My office mate has a sister who is a nurse. She is urging us to get vaccinated against HPV. I am reading all about it and all of the material I have read only says that I could only get infected with HPV if I am sexually active. There are many types of HPV. Some cause genital warts- a sexually transmitted disease. And some may cause infection that evolve into cancer. What a really bad. Way to get infected. Links to this post.

Diwa: June 2008

Wanderings of an outlander. Friday, June 27, 2008. Note to self: make your replacement. In the small amount of time I have lived on earth, I realized this: growth is inevitable and is a natural part of living. Similar to what stagnation is to death. Now that I am a manager(gasp! This, and the fact that the turnover rate in the IT industry is quite high nowadays, have made me conscious that I really need to be quickly training and developing my own replacement now. Diwa: October 2010
http://dianabl.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Wanderings of an outlander. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Before, I only am able to finish one type of coffee, the one my mother makes for me at home. It must be something about my mother's love that made me tolerate her coffee. All other coffees make my stomach sick. Now I discovered that in Jakarta, Indonesia, there is an office that serves coffee that my stomach could tolerate. I had no other choice but to ask for it because I was really so sleepy from the very early plane trip. Links to this post.

Wanderings of an outlander. Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Some things just have to wait. I have to wait. I have to wait though I can't wait. I feel like I can't wait for certain things to happen. But I have to wait. My problem with waiting is that while I am at it, a hundred thoughts get into my head. And these thoughts speak of things why I will not get what have been waiting for. Which bids me to spin a net to catch me in case things don't fall into places where I hoped. But, I have to wait.

Diwa: Prostaglandin = dysmenorrhea
http://dianabl.blogspot.com/2010/11/prostaglandin-dysmenorrhea.html
Wanderings of an outlander. Thursday, November 18, 2010. I just turned 32 yesterday. On the same day, I also experienced my worst dysmenorrhea ever. But historically, I don't suffer much discomfort during my period! Only now. And on my birthday. :(. Some things only women can experience. :(. Which reminds me, I need to get back to my exercise routine. Good thing the passing of my birthday was still happy. :). View my complete profile. Some things just have to wait.

Lil Miss Maldita: A contest for the ages
http://lilmissmaldita.blogspot.com/2009/01/contest-for-ages.html
To err is human. Apparently, I am SUPER HUMAN. Saturday, January 31, 2009. A contest for the ages. As supposed to stay longer in the office last night since I had to finish a lot of things at work. Tried to focus on work but at the same time, I was a constant visitor of the Ausralian Open website. Around 5 PM, I couldn't concentrate anymore. Was listening to the radio broadcast of the semifinals match between Rafael Nadal and Fernando Verdasco over the AU Open site. A contest for the ages".

Mommy Matters: 01/01/2009 - 02/01/2009

Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Kaitlin's eleven months old! She's got two lower teeth and two upper ones, and a third one growing both on lower and upper jaws. She's a biter! Although she's a charmer, I could see this baby's a fighter, too. She fights to get her food! She fights for her toys when Ate Lia has 'em. She fights to get her breast milk! P (Yes, I am still breastfeeding her. Yay! One more month to go and she's a year old. Soon, another toddler to discipline. Hahaha!

Thursday, July 10, 2008. I didn't imagine I could be this Mom who'd be screaming her lungs out over her kid's bad/naughty/disobedient deed. I've always imagined, since I was an innately patient person, that I'd discipline my kids with a "come-here-and-let's-talk-about-it" style. That imagination quickly faded away. I was a scream-my-lungs-out type of Mom after all! I end up screaming. And late for work. I ended up screaming. Again. With a voice that was unmistakably jealous and complaining. Lia is just s...
