http://rockportumcyouth.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Some simple thoughts from the youth group at Rockport United Methodist Church. Tuesday, March 16, 2010. There were only a few of us girls who went on my Confirmation Retreat – the rest were boys… so I ended up talking to a girl from another church… we hung out the whole weekend… we played kick the can…capture the flag…went on a night hike, sung goofy crazy songs around the campfire, and passed notes after lights out…. I am grateful that I got to go…. Camp Wanake still operates the same – the kids t...

Rockport UMC Youth: February 2010
http://rockportumcyouth.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Some simple thoughts from the youth group at Rockport United Methodist Church. Monday, February 8, 2010. January DOWN. February queuing up! Imagine the JOY and excitement that we got when, after only waiting ONE year instead of two, Rocky River City Schools moved the 6th grade up to the Junior High, making us not only the first 6th grade class there, but also changing our name to "the middle school" and causing the Church to announce that they were including us in the Junior High UMYF! Youth Group meant ...

Some simple thoughts about life and faith from the pastor of Rockport United Methodist Church. Wednesday, December 23, 2009. A FAITH FILLED CHRISTMAS SEASON. Well as you can imagine, this has been a busy time in my life and in the life of Rockport. We may ask the question ."When will things slow down? When will life get back to normal? You can enter the main edifice and admire the ancient church. You can also enter the quiet cave where a star embedded in the floor recognizes. What a great reminder for us...

Some simple thoughts about life and faith from the pastor of Rockport United Methodist Church. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Lately I have been asking myself the question . how can I resurrect the hope of life getting back to normal, or as normal as it can be? How can hope be resurrected for those who are hungry and homeless . for those who are facing a life that might enslave them because of lack of employment or some injustice which would beat them down. Visitation Pastor and Stephen Ministers. Some simple thoughts from the visitation pastor and the Stephen ministers at Rockport United Methodist Church. Sunday, January 31, 2010. Our church was the site of a beautiful memorial service today for the father of a long time faithful Rockport. Dr Kalas went on to say that we all have those times when the odds are too great for us to handle. "How good, then, to draw deeply on the resources of God! Have a Blessed Week, Diana. Rockport UMC Christian Education: The 4th, 5th & 6th Grade Sunday School Class
http://rockportumceducation.blogspot.com/2010/03/3rd-4th-5th-grade-class.html
Sunday, March 28, 2010. The 4th, 5th and 6th Grade Sunday School Class. Class begins with a time for the children to share what happened in their lives during the past week. This sharing process gives them a chance to learn the importance of confidentiality. Next comes the lesson followed by a game of dodge ball. And snack. Brad and Kelly Scotten. Feel that by combining personal sharing at the beginning of class with a competitive game at the end, the students develop closer relationships.

Some simple thoughts about life and faith from the pastor of Rockport United Methodist Church. Monday, May 24, 2010. Worship: Freedom of Form. Recently while meeting with a pastor friend of mine our conversation turned to worship. In the middle of our discussion about worship my friend made a rather bold but true statement: “We need to keep in mind that worship has been a neglected subject in evangelical history. We’re working against 400 years of neglect.”. I believe the essence of worship is communion ...
