Seville is characterised by colourful and attractive architecture, leaving an impression of refined civility in the brashness of modern Spain. Its history stretches back to Roman times, when it was a sea port on the Atlantic coast. We stayed in a small character pension in the tangle of narrow streets of the Old City for a couple of nights, in an old mansion centred around an open courtyard. Next post →.

August 3, 2014. August 12, 2014. This is about the absolute highlight of the trip, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to accurately describe how special it was. The next day we paddled to a different site so people could hike but a bunch of us hung out on the beach and had a proper quiet relax. I did some sketching and some lying in the sun listening to the water lap onto the shore. I will leave the description of the ranch we stayed in for when I write up about whistler. See you then!
