Rod prepared himself for the heat by covering his face with what looked like toothpaste and then put sunglasses on, he looked like the ill prepared member of the Blue Man Group! Rather than our normal routine of breakfast in the hotel, we rode to a nearby diner and were served a heart attack on a plate. It was a day of duelling banjos , Dukes of Hazard and lizard Lick all in one day, but back to the start. The tour was tasteful, slick and professional, unlike across the road where there were all manner of tatty Elvis’s themed stuff for sale. Really worth a visit and a bucket list entry now ticked off. After this we headed down to the Mississippi and in true Huck Finn style took a paddle steam river boat trip. April 3, 2015. Crossville to Nashville y’all.
