This morning I recieved a letter from Shelterbox informing me that a box has been sent out to Haiti to accomodate those affected by the recent hurricanes in the area. I also had a look at the Shelterbox Honor Roll to find that another box went out to Inaruwa, S E Nepal To accommodate those affected by recent flooding in the area. Posted by Roger's Challenge. Monday, 27 April 2009. Finally.´The Inca Trail. Well the training is over. In little under an hour, I head off for a 4 day hike across the Peru mountains to Machu Pichu along the Inca Trail. With 3 nights camping out in minus figures! 160; With no shower nor internet access! Anyway got to go have some breakfast before a long 5 days ahead. I will update as soon as I can! Every challenge requires a reason and for this challenge I decided to raise money for a charity which is much closer to home. This charity was also close to my late grandfather's heart too, as he helped out his local Exeter group, hosting meetings and doing a newsletter. While Parkinson's only affects 1 in 500 people, it is a horrible disease that changes everything. Other well known people who suffer from Parkinson's include Muhammad Ali and Michael J Fox.
