Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Ending the year 2014. As we ended the year 2014, we were grateful for what could be ahead for us. On Jan. 30 we celebrated John's birthday. He got to open presents that morning and evening. Mid-day he took me to the doctor to get my stent removed. While that was a very challenging experience, I felt so much better. Monday, August 24, 2015. First Day of Preschool. Sydney was so excited for preschool this year. It's all she could talk about over the weekend. Last week we went to the Preschool Preview to meet her teachers and the other kids. Sydney was thrilled! On Monday morning she was so enthusiastic. She enjoyed posing for photos and wanted to really be a rockstar. She had picked out her outfit, saying it made her feel like a rockstar and amazing. Saturday, February 14, 2015. We don't make a huge deal out of Valentine's Day, but we do have some fun and try to make some memories. When Sydney woke up, she found a balloon and flowers from her dad and me and a goodie bag from GiGi and PaPa. John had already went to work, but left we a gardenia bush. Thursday, May 21, 2015. An update on Audry. Unfortunately, I don't have good news. Earlier this week Audry was admitted to the hospital for a serious infection. She quickly declined in health and her kidney function finished. The photo above was the first night at the hospital. Today, she was moved to a hospice facility. We are not sure how much longer Audry will be with us. There is a chance she could improve slightly and do home hospice. However, she will no longer do chemo or any treatments.
