Ramblings of a bicycle geek. I ride to work, do some longer rides (all-night rides being a speciality) and have a general hacker mentality to anything mechanical; take it apart, see how it works, try to improve it. Tuesday, 6 July 2010. I have built quite a few Brompton wheels in the last couple of years. Front: standard Brompton hub but with the original caged bearings thrown away and replaced with loose balls. Built radially like a factory one. No, the valve isn't very straight. 25 July 2011 at 10:22.

I ride to work, do some longer rides (all-night rides being a speciality) and have a general hacker mentality to anything mechanical; take it apart, see how it works, try to improve it. Monday, 5 July 2010. Tim from Argos Cycles. Called today to say that the Brompton frame and stem have been sprayed. I'll collect it on Saturday and then it has to go back to the dealer to have the new rear hinge bushes fitted and reamed using the special 200 GBP tool. Yet Another Cycling Forum.

Ramblings of a bicycle geek: Brompton crank FAIL

Ramblings of a bicycle geek. I ride to work, do some longer rides (all-night rides being a speciality) and have a general hacker mentality to anything mechanical; take it apart, see how it works, try to improve it. Friday, 9 July 2010. This isn't mine, thank goodness - this is the sort of failure that really leaves you stranded. So I decided to get a proper forged crank with a bolt-on chainring. The Sugino XD is cheap, gives the correct chainline with a short 103mm bottom bracket and looks neat. Yet Anot...

Ramblings of a bicycle geek: Reassembling the Brompton

http://rogerzilla.blogspot.com/2010/07/reassembling-brompton.html

I ride to work, do some longer rides (all-night rides being a speciality) and have a general hacker mentality to anything mechanical; take it apart, see how it works, try to improve it. Sunday, 11 July 2010. Consider thornless varieties of bramble fruits like ‘Triple Crown’ blackberry or ‘Raspberry Shortcake’, ‘Caroline’ and ‘Heritage’ raspberries – they are more fun for kids to pick! There are some other choices on the scene like lingnonberries. If a pest or disease pro...
