Friday, 1 June 2007. A day in Cabo Verde. We spent a lovely afternoon in CV last Friday. We travelled by bus out to the ground site about 30minutes drive from. Mindelo. It is up a little side road that was built specially to get to. The site itself is right down close to the sea shore and gets a lot of. Of abstract pastel drawings, I explore the metamorphic effects of weather upon the landscape. Working in this medium is an intriguing way to explore how color changes how it manifests and dissipates as elements meet and cross. This fine dust, which can be rubbed in and lifted off, seemed a perfect medium to explore such an ephemeral subject. The juxtaposition of these two environments creates a tension and a balancing of forces, which provide a very rich soil from which to create new form and expression.

My name is Mary Roisin. Welcome to my web site! I am a Breast Cancer survivor. I was diagnosed on June 11, 2004, at the age of 55. My mother was also diagnosed with Breast Cancer at 55. She passed away 2 years later, at the age of 57. This June I will be 61 and a 5 year survivor. This website's original intent was to be an "aid" in my donation appeal letter.
