Roller coaster life of an athlete. Thursday, 12 March 2015. A New Pair of Spikes…. Not So Simple. My well loved, trusted and travelled. Over the last few months I have been on what you would think would be a simple task…. to find a new pair of sprint spikes. However, it has turned out to be a challenge to say the least! It has led to a wild goose chase; here I must thank my Dad for doing most of the chasing! My successful blue Pumas. Love and hate relationship. Massages and physio and a grumpy athlete!

I struggled through sickness and another ankle injury which involved flying back and forth to the UK to get specialist consultancy, scans and tests. I flew back to England on Thursday and headed over to Sheffield on Friday afternoon, so I could chill out at the hotel the night before the races. Roller coaster life of an athlete. Tuesday, 6 January 2015. Back to the Cold. This Christmas I headed back home to England for Christmas and New Year, as I normally do. It was great to spend some time with family and friends and catch up on all the news as I hadn’t been home since last Christmas. But now every time I go back to England, I find it soooo cold.
