Another summer, another adventure. A Death in Cuniã. July 25, 2010. Transposed from journal of Saturay, July 24th*. It was announced that our day at the health post would be cut short to begin the customary period of mourning. Here in Brazil the body is only kept for one day. If a person dies on Monday, he is buried on Tuesday. All the family members must arrive to view the body within this window of time, as the funeral is held on the day following the death.
