Întorşi în Timişoara după aproape. 20 de ani de la revoluţie. Pentru noi dictatorul român Nicolae Ceauşescu era Dracula, iar noi eram umbra lui - o mână de nordamericani care îi urmăreau fiecare mişcare. Principala noastră îngrijorare privea acţiunile lui de îngrădire a drepturilor vastei minorităţi maghiare din vestul României. Una dintre preocupările noastre avea ca obiect protejarea şi susţinerea curajosului preot timişorean László Tőkés care s-a ridicat împotriva regimului.

László Tőkés is from the large Hungarian minority in Romania (1.5 million people), located mainly in the western part of the country known as Transylvania. Like his father, László Tőkés became a protestant minister in the late 1970s, and first caught the eye of authorities in the early 1980s when it was revealed that he wrote for the Hungarian-language samizdat publication "Ellenpontok" ("Counterpoints") which criticized the dictatorship of Nicolae Ceausescu. László Tőkés during a secret mission.
