Thursday, January 20, 2011. A NEW WAY OF BEING. I am not entirely sure why …. but I feel strangely at peace not knowing what the next bits of life look like in many ways. Ron and I look forward to embracing a new culture and looking into the lives of others who are dedicated long term to the betterment of the nationals they serve. We are excited to learn Malawian ways, to visit the ‘warm heart of Africa’ to study the faces of people whose history is so very different than our own. But what about today?

Saturday, February 12, 2011. Four Short Days of Great Things. Cambridge revisited. Jan 23 to 27, 2011. This was our second visit to Cambridge where it is impossible to miss the depth of history, the greatness of innovative thought, the roots of faith and the amazing scientific discoveries. Grand colleges and chapels abound and the city bustles with locals and students – mostly on foot and on bicycles. It is quite a contrast to sitting in Kings College for an amazing evening song!

Sunday, March 6, 2011. We have learned that pictures are called snaps by the locals. So here are some snaps of Malawi. Our house is a very very fine house! We have plumbing and hot water in the shower. Which we carry to the kitchen to do dishes. Correction - Ron carries it! A typical boat which carries lanterns for night fishing. To direct the larger boats in finding sardines. These boats go out again in the daylight to catch larger fish. The Senga Bay Fishing Fleet. Sardines for eating and for bait.

Wednesday, March 31, 2010. March 25th we went to las vegas to see rons sister cami bless their baby it was a well needed vacation we took one extra day and came back on monday. Which was so nice. We woke up on monday packed up and went swimming for 3 hours. At the hotel it had waterslides and two different swimming pools. and 4 hot tubs The boys had so much fun. Saturday, March 13, 2010.
