Hall in the Kitchen: September 2013
http://hallinthekitchen.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
I truly think it is best to be a robin lightly dressed concocting soup inside my nest". Every year my husband goes an annual fishing trip with the boys, so I invite my friend over for a girls weekend. We enjoy treating ourselves to shopping, manicures and indulge in good food and wine. This year I had quite a bit of brie on hand so I created this decadent dish for Sunday brunch. You could vary the cheese to suit what you have around such as Camembert or Gorgonzola. Baked Brie Eggs with Herbs. Most recipe...

Hall in the Kitchen: Gettin' Figgy
http://hallinthekitchen.blogspot.com/2013/08/gettin-figgy.html
I truly think it is best to be a robin lightly dressed concocting soup inside my nest". Whenever I go visit my friend Adriana I try things I haven't had before such as grilled duck breast and fresh figs. Both were amazing and I am now hooked forever. This fig appetizer is super easy to prepare and tastes like an appetizer from a five star bistro menu. While Adriana served me a green type fig I found black mission figs in my local grocery store for a fraction of the price. The taste is very similar. View ...

Hall in the Kitchen: Life as we know it...
http://hallinthekitchen.blogspot.com/2014/02/life-as-we-know-it.html
I truly think it is best to be a robin lightly dressed concocting soup inside my nest". Life as we know it. Life has been a bit crazy so I took a bit of hiatus from Hall in the Kitchen.but wow. four months go by fast don't they? The hot topic of conversation these days is the long harsh winter we are having. Has anyone heard of the term Polar Vortex until this year? I know I haven't! All I want to do is either sit in front of my warm fireplace or cook comfort foods in the kitchen. 1 can of diced tomatoes.

Since St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, I thought I would share my favorite recipe… Irish Stew. Growing up my brother and I would always come home hungry from school. The best days where always the days that our grandmother made Irish Stew and had it waiting for us as we busted through the door. You could smell the rosemary, thyme and bay leaves and it was always piping hot! I miss those days, but remember them fondly. Now I get to make Irish Stew for my lads! 2 Tbsp olive oil. 1 tsp dried thyme, whole.

What Makes a Dad. My Dad.My Hero. Today I spent some time with my dad. We had a great conversation about my lads, work and life in general and we even had a few giggles along the way. My dad loves a good joke and limerick’s too🙂. My dad is someone who is strong, determined, caring, and who loves his family unconditionally. I know that how we define our dads depends largely upon our own experiences. I am grateful to have a father who did the best he knew how to do. What Makes a Dad. The majesty of a tree,.

Breakfast Casserole Slow Cooker Recipe. This is one of my favorite ‘no fuss, no mess’ recipe that you can make when you have company or for special holiday’s. Actually, you can make it anytime you want a good hardy breakfast to start your day. It takes 10 to 12 hours to cook on low heat in your slow cooker. It’s started the night before, cooks while you sleep and is ready in the morning. Like waking up to the aroma of a morning breakfast with coffee brewing! What a way to wake up in the morning! I am a m...

Note To Self: Savor the Coffee, Not the Cups! I’m a coffee lover! In the end, it doesn’t matter what cup I use or what kind of coffee I have, so long as I can relax, enjoy and savor the coffee of my choice. While I was doing a wee bit of research I came across this wonderful story … and so, I thought I would share it with all of you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Life is Like a Cup of Coffee Author Unknown. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just...
