Ron and Kathy Boyte. Sunday, July 26, 2009. This weekend was the annual Protuguese Festival in Cayucos. On Saturday, there was a free Sopas dinner at the Vet's Hall. The meal consists of beef boiled all day in broth, large slices of bread soaked in the broth and cabbage. It is delicious. The entire inside of the hall was crowded as well as the outside patio. Advertise free food and they all come! The big portable cooker they bring in to cook the meat and cabbage. The cabbage is done and ready to serve.

Ron and Kathy Boyte. Friday, July 31, 2009. A Day and Night With Grammy and Grandpa. Alana likes to come and spend the night at grammy and grandpa's house so we try to have her once a month. She gets to spend time with us without her baby brother and gets to do what she wants. Auntie Eileen called and of course, Alana had to have a serious "girl" talk with her. Too cute! Monday, May 4, 2009. Kite Festival in Morro Bay. There were several flying demonstrations- awesome. However, it was a very windy and cold day. We took a picnic lunch and it was hard to eat with the blowing sand. We had a good time anyway. There were several big kites flying. It was almost too windy to keep them up.

Sunday, June 3, 2012. Baby Barlow Arriving Late November! We are very excited to share the news! Baby bib and a pregnancy book. We went out to dinner that night and halfway through I pulled his gift out of my purse. I wish I would have gotten his reaction on camera, it was priceless. He was in shock and utter joy. There were a lot of smiles, tears and hugs shared that night. We are very much looking forward to becoming parents and enjoying our time together during this process. Steve and Jenn Barlow.

Sunday, November 4, 2012. I don't know if it's the pregnancy hormones, but lately I have caught myself saying to Steve, "this is the last time it's going to be just. Fill in the blank)," which is then usually followed by tears. It makes me a little sad that we have less than three weeks of just.
