Lucky Life Is Like This: Emma and Juniper
http://leahherlache.blogspot.com/2015/06/emma-and-juniper.html
Tuesday, June 23, 2015. On a gorgeous hand-woven rug, made for Juni. In the second photo, it looks like Emma is kissing Juniper, and she just may have been. She leaned in more than once to press her lips to Juni's head. The start of a strong bond between them, I hope. Just like the song says: I'll be your Emmylou, and I'll be your June. . . Lucky Life Is Like This: Juniper's First Stroll
http://leahherlache.blogspot.com/2015/06/junipers-first-stroll.html
Wednesday, June 24, 2015. We all took Juniper out for her first stroll today, and her first public nursing session, as it were. How special to sit next to my sister as she nursed her new baby girl, while I snuggled my baby girl. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). All images are property of Leah Herlache. Lucky Life Is Like This: Taste of Louisville Races
http://leahherlache.blogspot.com/2015/06/taste-of-louisville-races.html
Saturday, June 6, 2015. Taste of Louisville Races. Here are some early morning race spectators. And here I am, waiving to the kids as we start! They didn't see me. And finishing- 5k's are so short, aren't they? I decided to race at threshold today, and managed a respectable (for five months postpartum) sub 7:30 pace. I somehow even placed in my age group! Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. There he is, looking so little amidst the other racers. And they are off! We're proud of you, bud! Emma, On the ...

Thursday, June 4, 2015. Isaac with his teacher, Paige. We are sad to hear that Paige will be moving to the toddler classroom next year as the director, but she is a great teacher and deserves the position! See you next fall, Patchwork! Lucky Life Is Like This: Thorne Nature Experience: I Dig Dinos
http://leahherlache.blogspot.com/2015/06/thorne-nature-experience-i-dig-dinos.html
Thursday, June 18, 2015. Thorne Nature Experience: I Dig Dinos. This summer, Isaac and I are taking part in a few parent and child nature camps with Thorne Nature Experience. Today's camp, "I Dig Dinos," was held on the nature trails at NCAR. Isaac (and Emma) and I met Princess Gwen, the teacher, and the other families attending camp at the trailhead. Right away there was something hands-on to do. The kids matched dinosaur model toys to cards, and then Gwen read a story about dinos:. One thing we learned...

Lucky Life Is Like This: Bailey Hundo
http://leahherlache.blogspot.com/2015/06/bailey-hundo.html
Saturday, June 20, 2015. Another year, another Bailey Hundo race. The kids and I met Ben around the halfway point again this year- though the course was altered this year due to flooding, so the halfway point was at Wellington Lake,. I mean, the only thing that could have made it better is if Auntie Meagan and Uncle Dave were here again, but we will see them in a couple of days, along with my new niece, baby Juniper! Congrats to you, Ben, on your fourth Bailey Hundo finish! A Design So Vast. Community Pa...

Lucky Life Is Like This: June 2015
http://leahherlache.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Up North: Day 1. Emma explores the lake. Emsy-Em, in front our cabin on the hill. Walking down the old road, surrounded by the deep dark woods, while Brielle tells Isaac bear stories and spooks us all. The beginnings of blackberries- for the bears. The way my dad- and now my husband- close out each day at the lake. Oh, it feels so good to be back. Links to this post. Just like last year. Ah, six-year-old girls. Strawberry shortcake, here we come! Links to this post. Grandma Jackie...
