We investigated the wheel and axle, effort, potential energy and friction. At the end of our topic we all made rubber band cars and balloon cars. Photos show some of the investigations we did. Room 11 Hampden Street School 2016
Room 11 Hampden Street School 2016. Thursday, 1 December 2016. Junius hour number 2! This is our second attempt at Junius Hour where we follow a passion to create something for somebody. We can explain why we made it and how we made it. Creations range from houses for toys, books, photo frames, computer game heroes, a woodwork ship, a tiger made out of recycled materials, magic tricks, a clock, wearable art and an aircraft carrier! We all had fun creating and then sharing with the rest of the school!

Saturday, 26 April 2014. Room 11 visited the supermarket with Marewa, a dietician from Auckland who flew down to spend two days with us. We were looking at food labels and checking fat, sugar and salt content in foods that we eat. In Term 2 we are going to prepare a healthy meal using the knowledge that we now have, thanks to 'Food for Thought' organisation for the money they have given us to organise this.
