Haere Mai from Room 23. Friday, August 13, 2010. Kete and ili weaving. An ili and a kete are types of items that Maori people make by weaving flax. The ili is used for cooling themselves down. The red weave stands for the mother and the blue one is the father. The weave in the middle are the children. The kete is used to carry food and other belongings. Manupaku was a quick and a brainy warrior. Most of the time he was critical. Superstars of Room 23! Wednesday, 26 November 2014. We have been looking at different winter scenes and things you can do with in the winter time, leading up to our Ice skating trip on Friday. We made snow dough and then created winter scenes. It was very messy and a whole lot of fun! Tuesday, 11 November 2014. It is the School Carnival this Friday from 5pm - 8pm.
