Room 3 Halcombe School. Thursday, 13 August 2015. In our Science topic - Sound, we have been learning about pitch. Higher pitch is caused when sound waves move through the air causing FAST vibrations. Low pitch is caused when sound waves create SLOWER vibrations. We experimented creating different pitch - using various objects. eg; we filled jars of water and hit them with a spoon to create lower, higher and highest pitch. Room 3 Happenings 2011. Tuesday, November 29, 2011. What an awesome day! A huge thanks to all our parent help. Without them we would not be able to have such great days as this! I was so impressed at everyone's attitude towards the challenges and each other. It was lovely hearing everyone encouraging each other particularly on the rock climbing.
