Room 4 At Merrin School. Monday, October 27, 2014. Meeting Harold the giraffe. This week we had the Life Education bus and the Room 4 children got to spend some time with Stephanie and Harold. They spent some time on our first visit talking about what we need to be healthy. Then on the second visit, we had to help Harold and his friends with a friendship problem. The children really enjoyed their time on the bus and got an activity booklet to take home to keep. Talking about what we need to be healthy.

Room 4 At Merrin School. Tuesday, November 4, 2014. While Callum was away in Auckland, he found a mini Squidy! So he brought him back to Christchurch and to school with him. It was so funny to see everyones faces when they noticed Mini Squidy sitting next to Squidy. Here is a picture of Squidy and Mini Squidy together with Callum and Elisha. Room 4 At Merrin School. What should be going home each night? Each night, the children will take home their reading folders. In their reading folder should be the following items:. Reading book for the night (once per week this will be their Poetry book, most likely Friday). Reading note book with early words. Sounds book (Over the weekend). Any notices given out that day. The reading book needs to be read that evening along with their early words. Please sign off that both of these have been done.

Room 4 At Merrin School. The day at Merrin School begins at 8:30am, this is when children are allowed to come inside. When the Room 4 children come in, this is a great time to get their water bottles and brainfood out of their bags and bring it into the classroom.
