First off, I'd like to extend a huge thank you to all the students, parents and staff for welcoming me into the South Makirikiri School community. It is an absolute honour to begin my teaching career in such an innovative and widely respected school. The learners in Room 5 are an amazing bunch of kids and I am very excited to contribute to their learning journey! This led to the creation of our class treaty!

For the first 5 weeks, the children were practicing their swimming skills in preparation for the South Makirikiri Swimming Sports! Room Five learning to dive! Congratulations to all those who participated in the Swimming Sports! Room 5 also had some fantastic swimmers who competed in the championship races! Blair Simpson and Jano Klopper represented Room 5 for the Intermediate Boys' Championship.
