This week my 1st Grade class and I celebrated our last day together. Of course, these remarkable human beings ended. 1st Grade with a bang. And are all set for making a positive difference. In our world as they head to 2nd Grade and beyond. They will do just that, and more. It was my last day, too, as I took that big step, with my husband, into retirement.

Sharing lunch with The Playcentre in Room 6. Some children are having lunch at Kindy. We are playing outside at lunchtime. Then we rolled the clay into a ball shape. Next we made a hole with our thumb. We had to pinch the clay to make the hole bigger. Finally we decorated our tooth containers like in our plans. Sharing with Room 2. We shared what we have found out about Macandrew Bay School from a long time ago. The Room 2 children read stories to us. they are good readers. A Birthday at Playcentre.

2 sounds vowel song. Counting back from 20. Here Comes the Sun. Little Human Planet- Houses. Pakeke Mai o Matimati. Storybots- we are the planets. Monday, 17 August 2015. We made Fried Rice to experience some local cuisine from China. Bella, Talluelah and Mrs Super Simpson helped us cook it in a Wok! We used the broccoli and cauliflower from the Room 6 garden. It was so exciting to eat food we had grown! We made a cone for a bowl to eat our rice out of and we even ate our fried rice with our fingers!
